Burquitlam is a community in Coquitlam, BC, which is a suburb in the metro Vancouver area. Burquitlam is slated to be one of the new stations on the Evergreen Line which will undoubtedly impact the community. Burquitlam is boundaried by North Road on the West, Chapman Ave on the North, Blue Mountain on the East and Hwy 1 on the South. The image is an artist rendering of the proposed station and will be replaced with the real one when that happens.

Another day, another building gone
All the little buildings on the corner of Smith & Clarke - *poof* gone.

This is going to be such a great improvement for our neighbourhood!
ReplyDeleteDo you know if they're planning to take down the building on the corner of Broadway and Clarke that currently is mostly vacant except for a Chinese restaurant? (across from the Subway and KFC).
Going by it last night, it certainly looks like something is being done there. It has nobody left in it now. At the last BCA meeting there was a developer talking about what they wanted to do with the place but nothing definite was announced.
